Frequently Asked Questions

Daytime swim sessions are available to book in advance on our website for Tuesdays and Thursdays, during term time. Please email if you wish to reserve a regular time or ask about another day.

We open on Saturdays & during the school holidays on an ad hoc basis.

Weekend / School Holiday / Additional / Ad-hoc opening times are emailed to our waiting list first, then published on our Facebook page, any remaining slots are advertised on other local pages.

Please ask to be added to the waiting list for Saturday, school holiday and evening sessions.

Ridegway is located on the Main Road at Woolverstone. The Peninsular villages of Chelmondiston, Ewarton, Harkstead, Holbrook, Shotley, Stutton, Tattingstone, Pin Mill and Alton Water are close by. Brantham, Ipswich and Manningtree are within a short drive.

There are 2 allocated parking spaces for swimmers, on the driveway. There is no other parking nearby. Please car share if possible.

Please arrive at the pool just in time for your swimming slot. Please wait in your car until the previous swimmers have left the building. Your unique entry code is timed for your booking only. Please do not let others into the pool building.

Your booking includes swimming and changing time. Please vacate the pool promptly to ensure the next guest has private use of the facilities.

There are 2 changing cubicles.
The water temperature is maintained at around 30 degrees. The air temperature in the complex can vary between 26-29 degrees due to the large glass window. Doors and windows should not be opened as this will disrupt our careful maintenance of the facility.
We do not encourage spectators due to the potential health risks from sitting in the heat of the pool complex.

Under 5’s – 1 adult to 1 child (Swim nappies must be worn if not fully toilet trained. Please take all nappies home with you.)

Ages 5 – 11 years – 1 adult to 2 children

Non swimmers should wear buoyancy aids or use floats

Please Note: Any child / teenager who is not a confident swimmer must be accompanied in the water, regardless of age.

We do not supply any swim equipment, inflatables or pool items. You are welcome to bring your own, however please ensure these are taken away with you after each session.

Advance booking and payment is required. Just click on the Book A Session button to be taken to our booking and payment page.

Bookings can be rescheduled to another available date on our calendar, if 48 hours notice is given. No refunds are given.

Bookings can not be transferred to another person. The lead booker must always attend with their friends / family group.

All payments must be made electronically, via the booking link on this website.

If you would like to swim at a regular time / day that is not currently available, please send an email with WAITING LIST in the subject bar. If we have enough people wanting to swim regularly on a day that we are not currently open, we will consider opening.

In the event of an accident in the pool or at the premises, please call 999 first & then contact us immediately on the mobile number displayed near the pool entrance doors – 07936 439916.  Alternatively please ring the doorbell to the main house.

Please do not swim in the pool if you have been sick or had diarrhoea in the last 24 hours.

If you feel ill whilst in the pool, please exit the pool and cool down immediately.

You may be charged a cleaning fee if you have knowingly let a member of your group use the pool when ill.

We have first aid kit available in the pool area

If you notice any problems, damage or breakages please let us know immediately. You may be charged for breakages.

Any future bookings will be cancelled if you breach the rules. No refund will be given.
