Ridgeway Swim – Swimming Pool Rules

1. NO LONE SWIMMING UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES – ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS
2. The lead booker is responsible for the safety of all people entering the building at their session.
3. Only registered members may book the pool, following a health and safety induction at the complex.
4. All sessions must be pre booked and paid for in advance, by a registered member.
5. Timed entry is given for your swim slot via a unique code sent to your mobile. Unauthorised use is not permitted.
6. Please do not arrive earlier than your session starts or stay later as this will effect other guests private use of the pool. Any overrun will be charged to the main booker as an extra swim session in full.
7. Ridgeway Swim will communicate with the lead member / booker of each group.
8. No more than 4 adult swimmers are permitted to use the pool at any one time. No exceptions.
9. Family & Friend groups of 2-4 Adults + up to 4 children may use the pool subject to rule 10 below.
10. There must always be two responsible/competent adult swimmers present when accompanying any children aged 12 yrs or under, or non-swimmers. Both adults must be able to contact emergency services and care for youngsters in the event of an accident affecting any of the responsible adults.
11. Each baby / child under 5 must be accompanied in the pool by 1 adult.
12. At least one adult must be in the pool with 2 children under 7 / non swimmers, at all times.
13. Young children still using nappies must wear appropriate swimwear e.g. aqua nappies.
14. Please take ALL used nappies and other waste home with you for disposal.
15. The safety of ALL swimmers is the responsibility of the lead booker.
16. Do not swim after consuming a heavy meal or after alcohol, strong medication or prescribed/recreational drugs (unless approved by your doctor).
17. Accidental damage and breakages caused by misuse will be charged to the main booker.
18. No footwear allowed into the changing rooms or around the pool. All footwear to be left at the entrance.
19. Do not allow a person within your group, who may have a contagious illness (including sickness or diarrhoea) to swim. All members of your group must by physically fit enough to swim.
20. Please arrive swim ready.
21. The Air Temperature of the pool complex is usually around 26 – 28C. Spectators are advised to take care.
22. All external doors and windows in the pool room must remain closed at all times as this maintains the important temperature balance within the pool complex. Please do not alter any settings or switches.
23. No running or diving in any part of the pool complex.
24. No smoking / Vaping in or around the pool complex.
25. No eating in the pool complex.
26. Do not take any glass bottles into the pool complex e.g. drinks, shampoos, lotions etc
27. The lifebuoy and hook are for emergency use only.
28. Exits and fire exits must be kept clear at all times.
29. A mobile phone with signal must be provided by a group member.
30. In the event of an accident or incident, please complete the accident book and notify the pool owners.
31. Please notify the owners immediately of any damage to the pool or equipment. Our mobile number is displayed near the entrance.
32. Access to the pool building is with your unique code via the white doors to the left side of the house.
33. There are 2 allocated parking spaces on the driveway. Please car share where possible as there is no extra parking nearby.
34. Do not permit members of your group to stray into the garden where hazards may exist. Please do not bring dogs with you.
35. Cars are parked at owner’s risk.
36. Please ensure you keep to your allotted session. There is a clock in the pool area.
37. Please check the notice board regularly for any news, information and also for amendments to the rules.
38. Please leave the pool complex as you have found it and would like to find it. Please take all belongings with you and re-check before you leave.
